So today’s ride earned me 10% of the next upgrade to my Bullitt Tomorrow should be another 10% with rides to Queniborough Methodist Church (lunchtime) and to Claremont Street (evening). I don’t think the 100 metre walk to the Catholic Church in the morning will help much!

So I am planning two stylish Brooks Mud Flaps in black to match my saddle and all the other black bits.

The front one will keep the underside of my load box from getting dirty (after all nobody likes a dirty bottom). The rear one will make sure that I don’t get Jane dirty when we are out together, as that is not good for marital relationships

Here is a picture of one on the back of a much lesser bike than the Bullitt. In particular my mudguard goes much lower at the back, but spray will always fly off the bottom of a mudguard and the mud flap should put it low enough to not hit anyone behind.

At this rate I should have raised the money before the end of the coming week

Maybe I’ll then need to look at some battery powered fairy lights and tinsel to add some Christmas bling
